Yea, saw that too - interesting turn of events as he is usually the first one to demand everything shut. Let us hope things turn for the better now

It's along the lines what many are expecting/hoping for, but nothing official yet. Just another General wanting to see his name in the papers and maybe even a deliberate leak.

Bringing back test and go was expected. But I was hoping for something sooner, something concrete as I am already here.
Maybe reducing the 7 day sandbox time to 5 days.

Good news, that test&go is back. Now we’ll need two hotel booking confirmations at SHA++ hotels, for day 1 and 5. We have to prepay two PCR tests. And maybe there will be stricter requirements for the insurance confirmation.

there is no mentioning of a second night in a SHA++ hotel, just a second prebooked PCR test
and for insurance they would probably like that insurance also covers asymptomatic stays in hospitals or hospitels... that's probably only possible with buying a local insurance

guess this will take another couple of days until all the details are settled

The test and go changes are from Feb 1.
No changes for folks who are here already and who will be here before Feb 1. Did I get that right?

So far it‘s about new Thailand passes, not about already approved ones.

It has to be hotels with a partner hospital, which is the difference between a SHA+ and a SHA++ hotel.

Doesn't the Thai government approved insurance company AXA cover all these expenses?

That opens up my options for next month, Phuket, Pattaya or Hua Hin? The latter makes it easier to pick up a VTL flight back to Singapore?
