Amazon (or similar) delivery to Thailand

Is it possible to buy something on Amazon (UK website) and have it delivered to a residential address in Thailand? Does Amazon work in Thailand? Or is there an alternative I should use?

Since non Thai citizens cannot go there now, I cannot attend a friend's birthday party. Instead I would like to send them a birthday present and the best option I can think of is using Amazon and add their address for the delivery. I want to buy an exercise/sports/fitness item. Or can I buy something on the internet at a Thai store and my friend can just collect it? It is easier for me to browse, choose and pay than to just give money as a birthday present to my friend.

Thanks

You can order on Amazon for delivery to Thailand. There may be issues for the recipient re: VAT/taxes/duty etc.

Maybe best to order on Lazada, assuming they have what you're looking for.

transpac Thanks for the information. Cannot wait to return to Thailand and meet up with my friends. Already had to cancel 3 trips this year (April, May and August) to see them and I'm expecting to have to canel the fourth trip I have booked for Christmas.
