Bumrungrad...info re: Dental Implants
Would appreciate any first or second-hand experiences. I need three dental implants. My oral surgeon in Beverly Hills tells me that the cost is close to 15K.
I have heard excellent reports about the treatment at Bumrungrad. However, the reports do not include accounts of dental work.
Please PM with personal experiences.
Thanks...

No need to PM!
Both my teen lads had orthodontic treatment (braces/retainers) conducted at Bumrungrad. We were very happy with the cost, and the outcome compared to what it would have cost in NZ.
Likewise, I had a range of dental work done at Tantakit Dental and was also impressed with the treatment. Other staff at work also used Tantakit, one for a 'root canal'.
Cheers, TK

I've had fillings and a root canal done there, as well as teeth cleanings, checkups and x-rays. Very happy overall. It looks very much like a U.S. facility. Specialists don't always have the chairside manner you might see in the U.S., but they definitely have the skills (as Bumrungrad is a very coveted gig). It's probably the most expensive dental care in the entire country but still much cheaper than the U.S.
OTOH, Bumrungrad in general is really growing by leaps and bounds from all the publicity it has gotten, so that might create problems.

My crown work, and colleagues root canal were done at:
http://www.thantakit.com/
We used the All Seasons branch, in the same complex at the Conrad Hotel in Wireless Rd. The firm paid all the bills, so can't help you there. My sense is that the crown was about THB 20,000, or around USD 550. This was for visits (investigation, removal tooth bits and apply temp cap, and fitting porcelain crown)
PS Good guess - costs here http://www.thantakit.com/dental-trea...-thailand.html

My wife and I get all our dental work done at the Bumrungrad dental center. I had to have two wisdom teeth removed last September and surgeon was very good. I want to say the total cost was about $200 for the two of which one was impacted. That price also includes all medications etc. I have used a lot of the Bumrungrad services and have always been pleased.

Dental Clinics in Bangkok
I am searching for a good dental clinic for a friend in Bangkok. Someone has recommended the BNH Hospital's dental clinic as a very good place for general dental care and for dental implants.
Has anyone had experience with BNH Hospital's Dental Clinic?
If anyone can recommend a very good dental clinic or offer any other advice I would really appreciate it!
Thanks.
-Mike

A few threads that might be useful. I've had minor work done and had my son's wisdom teeth pulled at Bangkok International Dental Center. I've also had probably five friends go there, some for more extensive work, and all were pleased. http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/

BNH, IMO, is one of the best hospitals in the city. Unless their prices are to high, there would be no need to look any further.
That being said, there are plenty of choices. I get mine dental work done in Chiang Mai.
