Bringing items back to Spain
 

Holá, I am José Luís, I am Spanish but right now I am travelling in Thailand for a month. I will soon head to Bangkok and it will be my last step in Thailand before flying back to Spain.

I recently met somebody in Samed Island (cute island by the way) and he told me that beautiful and cheap items are to be found in Chatuchak market in Bangkok. This got my attention as I am looking for some new furniture for my home near Barcelona. I would love to have something from Thailand home.

Thus, I would like to know if those who know Chatuchak market agree with what I've been told about furniture. And if you think these furniture pieces can be brought back to Europe.

Bargains aren't that good in Chatuchak for large/bulky items like furniture. It's not really a major product for Thailand.

As far as home goods, decorations are pretty much all you'd find there which is suitable for taking back.

If you decide to buy wood furniture, be aware that different climate can cause issues.

I know some folks that bought wooden furniture while visiting Indonesia - lots of cracks after a few months in LA since the air is so much drier.
