55 min enough time for a connection in BKK?

I would be landing at 7:25am in AY J, trying to connect to an 8:20am PG J flight to PNH. Is this cutting it too close?

Assuming no immigration and single ticket should be fine. The risk of misconnect due to late inbound would rule out such a connection on separate tickets.

I've generally found BKK to be pretty quick for entering the country. I've not done an international transit. (Flew into BKK today).

That's the problem, wouldn't be a single ticket. I have already purchased and ticketed the AY flights, now I need to buy a connection on to PNH.

55min on separate tickets is extremely risky. Wouldn't try that.

Agreed. In theory it's possible but it requires a whole bunch of events to work in a timely fashion and Bangkok isn't big on doing things in a timely fashion.

PG has 4-5 daily flights to PNH to choose from; you're best off aiming for PG 939 at 11:20.

While the 55 minutes is workable, on separate tickets it's just too risky.

If you have checked luggage, you may wish to check to see if it can be transferred from AY to PG. :)

Yea, I booked that one. Arriving in AY J and transferring to PG J, will I still be able to use the CX lounge or just the PG one?

Only the PG one, unfortunately.

55 mins is the MCT for TG-TG I-I connections, anything else you need more time because BKK is huge (I almost missed my 55min TG-TG I-I same ticket connection because the gate was so far)

You'll only have access to PG.

If you have Priority Pass, the Oman lounge is an alternative, though on the opposite side of the airport from your likely PG departure gate.
