Unofficial Bangkok (BKK & DMK) Airport thread
I've been flying in and out of DMK a fair bit this past year, a little BKK too.
I have information, comments, and updates that come to mind. But, the content has no place where it fits. So, I thought I'd try a new thread.
All info, photos, anecdotes, ideas, and discussion welcomed.

Domestic Lounge At DMK opens
I like DMK for the sheer number of food options it has airside, domestically. There has to be more than 20 choices scattered around the concourses.
But, today I saw something new.
Coral lounge has just opened, at DMK domestic, between the 40 and 50 gates.
And... It's a Priority Pass lounge.

DMK landside - best place to eat would be the staff cafeteria. You have to go outside - the north end of domestic terminal. Or as you face the entrance, on the far left. Walk across the car park to the next building structure, walk along the corridor and IIRC you will see signposted directions.

Boxtel at SBIA/BKK
New compact sleepbox service ‘Boxtel’ opens at Suvarnabhumi Airport
For those who dread missing flights or sleeping in front of the public in an airport, the hourly sleepbox service “Boxtel” was launched recently at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Located in the basement near the Airport Rail Link, Boxtel offers 12 private sound-proof rooms, 4 sq. m in size. Each room comes with air-conditioning, a small foldable table, free WiFi, and a button to call reception in case of an emergency.

Sleep Box, the new hotel service at Don Mueang Terminal 2, has announced its rates as it postponed its launch until next Monday.
Being the size of a budget hotel room, Sleep Box is equipped with air-conditioning, a television and an ensuite bathroom with amenities.

Evidently there is a Magic Point Food Court at DMK (same name as the food court at SBIA/BKK), not sure if this is the "staff cafeteria"?

To avoid the heavily loaded on-airport exchange rates at BKK, go down to the level where the trains leave and there's an exchange which is off airport territory and therefore not subject to their rules.
You won't get the same rate as Vasu or TT, but you won't be hurt as much as you would by changing money upstairs.

The trip advisor link is for BKK. I contacted Trip Advisor over a year ago, but they never fixed it. Side note: They also never added new places that I suggested and gave proper links/address/phone/email.
Here is the place at DMK

All are in the area where the Express train tickets used to be sold.
*Super Rich (orange) in the exchange district of Ratchadamri/Big C is typically empty while across the street Superrich (green) is typically busy and sometimes overflowing with customers. I've never used orange and have never had a problem with green hence I stick with them as my sole exchange when feasible.

There are at least two other Superrich money exchangers, I am under the impression that they are all operated by different branches of the same family.

IMO, A wikipage would be a better place for the information.

More posts from the OP isn't the determining factor in a thread.
I've been back. But, the material others have posted is far more interesting than my contributions may have been. It's a busy time of year for me. And, I'm not on FT daily. More stuff coming, when time allows.
I think it's a good place for the info. I don't think I've ever been to an FT wiki.
