Phuket or Krabi?
 
I'm going to Thailand in December for 10 days, and am planning to spend the last three on a beach. My flight home is the evening of the 5th from Phuket via HKG. When I started planning this trip, I was set on Phuket and the Phi Phi islands, but I'm reading that Phuket has become seedy recently and it may not be a fun trip. Would I be better off spending my time in Krabi or another island? If so, what's the best way to get from Krabi to the Phuket airport on the 5th?

I've never been to Thailand before, and I'll be flying into Phuket or Krabi from Chiang Mai.
