I've arrived on UA at E and G concourse gates.

Really, they change concourses. I've been looking at UA arv info, and reading gate #s 401,503,504...
But when I look at a terminal map it lists gates as G1, C5...
Is there a way to decode this?
I've tried flight aware, flight stats, the airport web site -- it doesn't seem like it should be this hard to find out.

I'm not familiar with any terminology in BKK that lists gates strictly as numbers.

I know, that's what I mean. When I look at UA flight status on UA.com or flight aware, it says it arrived gate 504 yesterday. It doesn't make any sense.

UA can arrive at a gate on Concourse E, G or D, or at a remote stand/gate. They tow the plane to D2/3 for the AM departure.

Remote - bus - gates are numbered with three digits and then maybe an L or R. So 504 is over there on the west apron near G5 I think?

Arrivals on Bus gates typically take an escalator up to level 2 at/near one of the two Immigration halls. I think if arriving from a remote bus gate on the west apron you might come up just at the West Immigration Hall, maybe opposite gates D6/7?

All international flights from which pax are loaded onto a bus go to the same entrance at D4.

I didn't realize there are two immigration halls. I usually get in at 11:30pm and walk as fast as I can to get out without looking around.

Will it be possile for him to meet me at my UA baggage claim? Or might JAL pax be shuffled out a different exit and not be able to access it. (are all bag claims in the same area)

Trying to figure out a good place to meet.

All international baggage carousels (6-15) are in the same hall and accessible to pax after immigration.

The only potential glitch is, should one of you be delayed, there is nothing to do in the hall.

Why not meet at Starbucks, S&P or another establishment past customs on floor 3?

There is a "Meeting Point" after you clear Customs (Plane-->Immigration-->Baggage Claim-->Customs-->Landside on level 2) on level 2, near door #3.

All of the international baggage claim carousels are in one open area, but depending on where your carousel is, you might clear "B" Customs, or "C" Customs.

We did "the meeting point" last time -- it was madness at that hour.
Was trying to look for something less chaotic, especially since I'll have all the luggage with me. I'll look at the map and figure something out -- thanks everyone.
