BKK overnight

My flight arrives at midnight and the next flight leaves at 10am so I got 10 hours overnight post-security at BKK.

Are there sleeping areas?
I guess the stores would be closed then?

What options do I have?

Thanks!

BKK overnight

Airside they do have a hotel in there, can't remember the name - premium lounge or similar,

Land side there is a Novotel.

Shops will be shut as will lounges.

The hotel inside the airport is an extension of the Louis tavern (priority pass lounge) and stats at 2400thb for 4 hours. Basically an awful ripoff. The priority pass lounges are open 24/7 if you're inclined to lean that way but the airline lounges are all closed overnight. This assumes your onward flight is international. If domestic then you might not even gain access to the lounges.

With 10 hours and departure at 10am just get a hotel proximal to BKK with transpo and breakfast and get some sleep.

It sounds like you have an international - international connection? And any baggage is checked through?

Assuming you want to stay in the international transit area then your options may be limited? Many, many people spend the night, so assuming you do not want to opt for a "day"-room, then maybe scout out one of places where they have the recliners - one area on level 3 near the DEFG intersection - or a row of padded chairs - which are all over.

If you can "enter" Thailand easily - visa exemption rather than a VoA - then maybe a local, inexpensive hotel is an option? But this may present additional challenges re: clearing Immigration, Customs, Immigration (again), and the associated passenger service fee, which might not be an issue?

Ya, I am onwards for another international flight to RGN and wont have checked bags.

I dont need a visa to get into Thailand as I got a Singapore passport.

Hmm, I'll have to look into possible hotels landside then as BKK doesnt have a decent transit hotel.

What does it cost for a priority pass, do u know?

Thanks!

Here is a cheap hotel near the airport. Much cheaper than the Novotel.

Sananwan Palace.

Up to you.

Didn't want to go through security again or get Thai baht.
So ended up sleeping on the seats in a quiet section near the airline transfer desks.
It was surprisingly comfortable though I woke up a few times from people passing by.
