I have seen tours to Angkor Wat advertised in Bangkok: there are 1 day tours, 2 day overnight tours, and 3 day tours (which cost about $500 US equivalent).

Enjoy the ruins, and remember to add the "k" to Angkor Wat.

Siem Reap and Angkor Wat
 

We are doing this in September - flying to Bangkok and taking a side trip to Angkor Wat. You don't need a tour unless you want one. Have a look at http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum..._Province.html . Also canby publications http://www.canbypublications.com/siemreap/srhome.htm .
Be aware that only one airlines flys Bangkok to Siem Reap - Bangkok airways for a ridiculous amount.
We are going for 3 nights. I can't see the point of going there for less than 2 full days. Lots of people seem to go for longer.
Otherwise if not Angkor Wat, consider some of the world heritage sites in Thailand. I joined a tour from Bangkok to Chiang Mai that visited ruins and temples among other things. It was some years ago and I really enjoyed it.

There are several earlier threads on going to Cambodia from BKK.

We went last year via bus after getting silly prices for this very short flight. The road trip was very interesting and took around 7 hours total including switching from the Thai bus to a tuk tuk to the border and then cabbing it to AW. Cost RT was about $100 for two.

Most any travel agency in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya or Phuket can set you up with tours. They will have a menu selection of popular tours to choose from. You can also see what they have for out of Thailand tours too.

If your flight home is from Bangkok spend the night before in that city. Do some last minute shopping and be a short taxi ride or train ride to the airport.
