Thai will stop its service to-from Geneva at the end of Jan2004, helas...

The original 773 service, which was an extension of the BKK-ATH flight, made more sense than flying a 747 or MD11 with 100 pax on GVA-ZRH (a SR staple LX ditched as well).

Apparently the switch was made following OA's withdrawal from Australia, making TG an overly popular option for Australia-bound Greeks.

Had TG landed the right to sell GVA-ATH tickets, perhaps things would have been different.
