2 no-frills carriers plan start-up!

this is not with gaining ROP/TG-miles, but with considerable lower fares. AirAsia, a Malay no-frills carrier like RyanAir etc, has teamed up with the shin corp. (with many links to Khun Taksin, the current prime minister) to launch, said to be from jan. 2004, web and mobile phone bookable no-frils domestic flights from lower as 1000 THB. From BKK to CNX, KhonKhaen, Khorat (who ever would like to FLY there??) and of course Phuket (served by at least 3 airlines already). As the business is now Thai-registered and an open sky policy prevails, there should be no pwobwem.
Meanwhile the older, often quite flegling, Thai-Orient(used to fly Thai-Khmer=Camb when it was just possible then, with triStars) plans to set up a fixed low-price domestic network and a link to KUL/KLIA also from dec or jan next, it states it has contracts for B-757's and promises a 999 THb fare BKK-CNX.
Meanwhile an argument has risen between Air Andaman and its swedish leasing agent on the payments on its Fokker-50, of which now just 1 has been left flying (it took over many of the smaller former TG opereted routes, but has already skipped the very meagre domestic routes to/fro CNX)
