TG plans morale campaign to help it regain Asia's #1 airline status

http://www.bangkokpost.com/Business/...003_biz57.html

Thai Airways International Plc has embarked on an internal morale-boosting programme to help it regain its position as Asia's No.1 airline.

The initiative entitled `Towards Asian Leadership' is intended to build up morale and pride among its 26,000 employees ahead of its public share offering at the end of the month.

All the morale in the world isn't going to help TG until they install some decent seats in their aircraft.

But at least on the SIN-BKK route, their fares are way lower than SQ's. In coach anyway.. and their food is always better!

What if you have full IATA F ticket? You'll choose CX or SQ; that's TG's problem. I have only flown them in full F (not discounted A) once this year - and that was only due to scheduling and CX reducing the number of services offering F.

TG's service, let alone the physical seats, food and lounge offerings in the premium cabins are so laughably behind the leaders, that a morale campaign is like FedExing ice cubes to hell in terms of effectiveness in solving the fundamental problem.

Regards,
Alex
