TG to sell all six of its A380s

https://airwaysmag.com/thai-airways-sell-a380-fleet/
As expected... – a little curious as to who would take over. I don't think any middle eastern carrier would want more A380s in the near future...
Also, they are selling the aircraft in a 'as-is where-is' condition – whatever that means

This has been planned for a long time actually. I am not sure who would buy those frames either, especially given the condition they are in - they have been stored at Suvarnabhumi since they were withdrawn from service during civic, and are looking very sad.

My guess would be that either someone would buy them for parts (engines etc should still have some value), or more unlikely the likes of Hi-Fly could be interested in a bargain.

As for selling as-is, where-is, that would mean they buyer takes over in the current condition and location, i.e. it is the buyers responsibility to make the planes airworthy and remove them from their current parking positions at Suvarnabhumi (which to me indicates that they might not be in a condition to fly without some tender love and care)..

Are they any already?
Moving an A380 to its "Cafe and Restaurant" final venue is going to be a mammoth task.

TG must be the only airline thinking its a good idea to store out of service aircraft in a Swamp

Maybe Zoo’s will have some interest, Pythons and Anacondas moved in ?

They've probably already booked the sales revenue into their 2024 financials . . . .

Just curious as I have never seen one.
I assume that they remove the wings, right?

There is a classic DC3 as well on the way to Rayong - my memory fails me as to whether it is on hwy 344 or 36 though.

But no, they typically keep (presumably re-attach?) wings and all.

Hence, that might be a face-saving arrangement for TG.
But 6 A380 as entertainment/cafes?
