booking error, name too long

booking error, name too long
trying to book BKK - MNL one way with lap child
entered all the details, but then get the error
Total length of first name plus last name plus date of birth is too long. Please modify your entry and try again. (1160)the name of my daughter is 6 characters 1st name, then 4 characters middle name and then 5 letters last name.
if I change the middle name to 1 character (initial), then the error disappears.
is it ok to book with just the initial as middle name ?

I had the same problem in 2019, seems nothing changed 😝.
I contacted TG by email and their reply was:
When long name is found, only initial first name of infant is acceptable and Infant's last name can be omitted in case of using same last name as adult (travelling with infant)
