Business lounge at SGN Vietnam
Hi hoping someone may be able to assist. This is my post on the Lufthansa forum.Hi all.
looking at booking Lufthansa LHR to SGN (sigon) in business class. The route is, LHR-MUC-BKK-SGN the return is the opposite.
The sector BKK-SGN and SGN-BKK is with Thai smile in Eco as no business class that is not a problem, but lounge access at BKK outbound and SGN on return is not clear. I have emailed Lufthansa and they say its a business ticket so lounge access, but they are unable to advise which lounges I would have access to on the Thai smile sectors. Anyone have any first hand information on this please. Many thanks
thanks in advance

elansear Hi, have you checked the fare class for the BKK-SGN-BKK sectors? Thai Smile has 'premium economy' product that includes lounge access (Smile Plus) booking into U class.
If you also hold LH group status as Star Alliance Gold then you'll also get certain benefits (I think lounge access and +20kgs). In BKK this will be any of THAI's ROP Lounges. I am not sure who provides the lounge in SGN - but I am interested as I will be through there in Jan.

The Connecting Partner Model allows airlines to connect to the Star Alliance network without becoming a member airline of the Alliance. Passengers connecting between certain member airlines and a Connecting Partner under a single booking may enjoy certain comforts and privileges. All passengers can be checked through with their bags to their final destination. Additionally, customers holding Star Alliance Silver and Gold status are offered tailored privileges during such eligible connecting travel. Currently, these comforts and privileges are available on eligible connections between THAI Smile and Austrian, Lufthansa, SWISS and THAI Airways Intl.
Members of Thai Airways Intl. Royal Orchid Plus and members of the Austrian, Lufthansa and SWISS Miles & More Frequent Flyer Programmes may also accrue and redeem miles on flights operated by THAI Smile Airways.

Thanks. At present the Thai smile sector would be in PE but that could change to Eco depending on when booking the whole ticket.
Lufthansa seam unable to confirm any lounge access at BKK or SGN perhaps it’s just a disinterested agent I contacted so reply not sure hence trying forums. Thanks again.
