BKK International Transit
Flying HEL-BKK (AY) and BKK-SYD (TG) on seperate tickets and carriers (4 hour BKK transit time) with hand luggage only.
Does anyone know whether it's possible to check-in and pickup BKK-SYD boarding pass at TG BKK Transfer Desk rather than having to clear immigration and check-in at normal counters?
Thanks in advance for feedback!

That should not be a problem at all - you could also probably use mobile boarding pass from TG if you want to save yourself a trip to the desk, but I have never seen them busy anyway.

have a print out of your ticket ready, as sometimes the dragon at transit security checks boarding passes and the transit desks are behind security in departure area...

Try online check-in, but usually it doesn't work due to Thai regulations. Transit desk will be no problem however, just go there. You have plenty of time. If you REALLY want to push it, you could run out for a bite to eat (or a beer... or whatever you fancy), but watch out for traffic depending on time of day and rain conditions.

Transit in BKK is a gem. With 4 hours, as long as you're not significantly delayed, you shouldn't have issues. I can't remember if transit assistance is before security but it's after you need to clear security to re-enter the transit area so have ticket evidence ready as they will ask to see something. Worst case exit and enter via immigration.

Many thanks everyone.
So if I'm understanding correctly it should be possible to upon arrival pass through departure security showing a copy of my onward international ticket, on departure level visit the Thai transfer desk to check-in and have BP issued, WITHOUT the need to clear immigration.
