I'm booked in First but my companion in Business
So I was able to get a First class award from BKK to NRT, but the person I'm traveling with was only able to get a seat in Business class on that flight. Is having my companion sit with me to dine or talk allowed? There are two seatbelts, right?
We will be arriving from MEL on TG and the layover is only 1.5 hrs. Would my companion be permitted to go to the First class lounge with me?

I also found the answer to my lounge question: "Present a boarding pass of THAI Royal First Class. One guest is allowed when departing on the same day as an international Star Alliance flight."

the F lounge of TG in BKK is currently just a separated part of the Thai Prestige lounge; I have posted some picture of it. At least it is much less crowded than normal lounge and you are getting served.
of course you can bring your guest with you.
as for the question regarding your guest to sit with you at your F seat. This depends on the crew and how you are getting along with the crew. Dining is likely not feasible as they can not serve your guest's business meal in F. Drinks and some chat shoud be possible. Depends also whether it is a night flight and concerns of other passengers about noise etc.

In the long distant pre-Covid past you could visit your companion in the lower class, but not the other way around.
Personally I think that is the way how it should be. I would hate to have more people/noise in the F cabin.

I agree with Unterwegs and would complain to the cabin crew, unless the person in FC or the visitor to FC was obviously someone that one should keep quiet about.
I will be travelling in FC to Narita in a few days own the early morning flight and then again in March (latter with family). I am hoping the OP is not on either flight. My employer and I pay for privacy, quietness without having to wear headphones, choosing whether to relax or work, ambience and service (which I much prefer to the ME airlines who are OTT for me and mostly don't respect privacy).

Nevertheless, the flight in question is at the end of August, so youre safe.

Sounds like youd hope that nobody is on your flight, not just me. I ask because Im trying to see whats considerate and generally accepted. I think its the people who dont ask/care that you should really be worried about.

Should not be permitted, F can go & visit C or Y but not the other way around, guesting into the F section of the lounge is of course a published benefit.

In my experience, F pax can go back to C, but not the other way around - this is accepted protocol. Sure some pax try this, but I think it is quite unreasonable. The F pax have ‘paid’ for that cabin (cash/miles), and a C pax has not.
In my opinion to even ask the cabin crew to do this is bad form - it places them in a difficult situation they shouldn’t have to deal with.
Enjoy the F lounge together, and enjoy respective cabins individually.
