No more premium cabin awards in advance?

Looking to book flight in I or O class, however looks like it has dried up completely for anything beyond 14 days before departure.

New "enhancement" or is it already a known feature?

My guess is ROP program? What route though?

For redeeming business class seats on ROP, for popular routes BKK to Europe I usually start checking at least 6 months in advance to secure a seat on a preferred date (from my experience there are only 2-4 seats max available at a time), otherwise there is very slim chance to get a seat. But for a less popular route such as BKK - AKL there seems to be easier to get a seat close to present time. I never redeemed for economy but usually there would be plenty of seats though? (from my experience there are 9 seats max available at a time).

AKL-BKK is more popular than you suggest! Try looking for an I biz award seat for Aug or September.

Even in Jan when we redeemed for Sep, there was patchy availability.
Fliar likes this.

It's just that from my experience when I check for seats, says, BKK-CDG and BKK-AKL (I tend to check for probable trip either go far left or far right from BKK ), chances are there are seats for BKK-AKL, but BKK-CDG is so scarce. Probably that left me with impression that BKK-AKL is less popular since it seems easier to find available seats.

Though I haven't checked BKK-AKL on ROP for some months now, probably not any more, since Singapore Airlines offer an award seat with less miles for this route, and will be even a lot less than ROP after this October

Looking in special TYO route to and from BKK. Checking on EF as well as Aegean, M&M or Lifemiles.
None show anything that is more then 14 days far out, same for CDG or FRA Flight to BKK, also HKG. Those destinations used to have reasonable availability in special far out....

at least for BKK-FRA I could find a couple of seats in Biz-class during 1.half of June, but often it is only one seat and its often the daylight flight TG922 (but few on night flight as well)

Is there something going on in Tokyo that could be the reason its so hard to find availability. When I booked my flight from HND-BKK for Jan 2020 I had no issues finding J or F , I settled for J since it a relatively short flight.

cannot confirm your above findings as I have no problem at all to find seats between 1.Mar and 10.Apr 20 between TYO and BKK in both, First Class and Biz-Class.
(flights after 10.April will be made available during the course ot this month only.....)

This is what I get on United- no premium class on the TG nonstops, though boatloads of NH or connecting space. \_(ツ)_/

But there's availability closer in but a few months out, so "dried up except for 14 days out" is wrong AFAIK.

What about to Australia? I see nothing until end of schedule in Business or First Class using United points after July. Is ROP the same?
