Is there a way to choose booking class on the Thai website

Hi

I am looking to buy some flights but I keep being put in V class which doesn't earn any miles. Is there a way to select a flight where I can choose the booking class?

Thanks in advance for your help

Try the ‘Flexi-Saver’ (K/T class), or ‘Flexi’ (Q or better). But for a specific fare class class you’ll need assistance.

The THAI booking engine only shiws these for a simple return. if using the muli-city tool then sad,y it just defaults to the lowest fare class available and you cannot force better classes.

W/V earns 25% into ROP, but sometimes nothing in other programs.

If you want to buy online a specific class, the way to go is by buying on Priceline after searching on https://matrix.itasoftware.com/ while forcing the required class and then pricing it on https://bookwithmatrix.com/.

Yes, but one still needs to select a fare and then look for the fare basis to know the actual fare class. That was OPís specific question.

does it translate into:
Supersaver: W
Saver: V (as baggage is 20 KG only)
Super Value: K
Flexi Saver: T (both 75% ROP mileage)
Flexi: Q
Full Flex: H (both 100 Mileage)
????

It differs by market so far as I have seen. Important always to check the fare class for the fare family - it doesn't always map as you have described, and to also check the conditions.

And the range of fare 'families' changes as fares are uploaded and changed for the various promos and season.....

I once had a J fare that would not allow any changes until after the first segment was flown, and then at a fee. It was cheaper to cancel and rebook than go through such nonsense!

In the attached example, drill into the fare family to get the fare basis by clicking 'more details'.

It really pays to check these days:

Family fare fare basis
SuperSaver W WIYYTH0W No cancel/refund. No upgrade by any means. 20kg
Saver W W1LYTHE No cancel/refund. No GUP. Can mileage upgrade. 20kg
SaverValue K KIYYTH0W No cancel/refund. No upgrade by any means. 30kg
FlexiSaver K K1LYTHE Can cancel/refund fee 3k THB. Can GUP/Mileage. 30kg
FullFlex Q Q1LYTHE Can cancel/refund fee 4k THB. Can GUP/mileage. 30 kg.

I have also uploaded the 'more details' page for the 'SaverValue' fare family. Take a look at the details provided - especially that GUP cannot be used, even this is a K class fare which usually can be upgraded by GUP.
