According to recent news on the matter, the crew reported the incident to the police but did not want to press charge. He only wanted to have the police report as evidence so he could use it to report to Thai Airways. Thai Airways has already investigated the matter. The crew has already come to terms with the captain and he is not going to press anything further. Case closed, I guess?
the case in ZRH, where a captain blackmailed his colleagues into the F seat (the Station Manager was blamed by TG Management) and the case where a captain rejected passengers from a political party he did not like (by the way exactly the same captain as in ZRH) demonstrated this already!
I bet TG Management will also not do anything in this case…
Wonder what we will hear next from one of those arrogant selfish pilots (and just to add the large majority is responsible and caring, but few think they can get away with anything and destroy the reputation of all)

TG Management has a ridiculous laissez faire policy towards their pilots.

The captain you mentioned seems to have some serious issues that make me hope he is not in control when I am on the plane ...

It’s all well and good to say that it’s a cultural difference, but personally I find these ‘born-to-rule’ hiso martinets quite repulsive. They are one of the reasons Thailand has regressed in most measures. The Thai captain is a case in point

Would you extend the same standard to the high official who slapped the security staff manning the X-ray screening at BKK.? Remember that case? The official was so outraged by the requirement that he submit to the standard, normal screening, that he boxed the ears of the young man making the request ( so hard that it caused some hearing loss). It was around the same time the police officer was caught carrying a loaded gun in his hand luggage.

nevertheless, and if irony or not, it is a tragedy and says a lot about Thai's corporate culture
(unfortunately, It must be understood that this case is not the only-one within TG,....)
