TK lounge opening in BKK
|
Interesting that they choose to open a lounge in BKK when they do not have that massive a presence - I mean, QR with 5+ flights a day I can understand, but TK?
Anyway, it is also discussed over at the TK forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/turk...ounge-bkk.html |
Like IAD, they probably are counting on revenue from PP and *A.
I hope it is open by mid-March. If so, I will be sure to report back. I got to visit the TK IAD lounge shortly after opening and had a fun time. Website so far showing the lounge open 24hrs, which is great. |
good news
TG lounges will be less crowded and a new alternative for *A loungehoppers how are the TK lounges in general (i have never been in one)? |

I have only ever been in the IST TK lounge, and to be honest I do not get what the hype is all about - granted, the place is massive and the food is good. But it is always over-crowded (like the rest of IST airport), the open style fridges result in beers and soft drinks being luke-warm, the toilets are always dirty and there is a huge queue for showers.. Heck, I have even been asked by the front desk staff (!!) to use my guesting privilege for some total stranger who was kicking up a fuss to get his entire family in! :O |

Excellent. They typically offer Do&Co catering, which is the very best.

Do&Co is responsible for LH’s FCLs and the FCT at FRA, but not for the FCLs at MUC. I prefer food, drink and service at MUC. |
Agree that Do&Co is pretty good - but also that it is not what it used to be. A couple of years ago I would have called it excellent. |
Name a better airline catering company than Do&Co.
