Loy Krathong: reduced flight operations in Chiang Mai

Loy Krathong: reduced flight operations in Chiang Mai

as there are a million of flying lanterns (in Thai they call it Khom โคม ) in the area, they reduce flight operations at CNX. After 1800 on 22.11. and 23.11. there are only very few starts and landing. TG has no flights anymore after 1800

I recall doing my Thai language training in CNX Sep-Dec 2004 and being astonished that flights were operating as the night sky filled with mini hot air balloons.....

nowadays only few chinese and some budget airlines do; watch out flightradar24 tonight...but was surprised to see Nok Air operating one yesterday
