For passengers transiting BKK a fasttrack service would be good

do you know any airport worldwide where they have a fast track for transit security? I don't. Probably also difficult to implement on the tight staircase

If you fly TG F, they will escort you through.

For one, LHR T5 does - or well, at least in theory. The fact that the lane is not guarded and merges into the back of normal security is a different story

OK, that's great that they have been reinstated, perhaps I went through as they were instituting the new 'China only' lanes and it was temporarily down.

Thanks for the reassuring update.

The Chinese National lanes are on the right side of that arrival immi hall while the FastTrack is on the left side. I don't see how one could have affected the other so my guess is that you simply missed the sign rather than it wasn't functional.

I would not feel very comfortable myself in this case...

Nah, I've used fast track often enough to know where it was and on the day of posting it had completely disappeared, I'm 100% sure about that.

Anyway, it seems to have been reinstated now so apologies to all for raising any concerns, harmony has been restored to the universe suvharnabhumi

no problem! it was good that you raised the issue.
I can imagine very well that fast track vanished for some days. The instruction to implement the special China tracks came at short term from the top; so they had to probably improvise a bit...

Doha does as well. And it is usually monitored. At certain times of day it is a blessing.

I checked with my usual Fast Track service yesterday https://asiafasttrack.com/ and was assured they still offer Fast Track at both Swampy and DM

I had a look at the site but it looks like they are quoting $99 usd for arrival service at swampy, is that right?! Services I've used in the past were closer to $40 USD.

Also noticed the following notice on their site...

"IMPORTANT: As of July 23rd 2018, if any passenger in the group is arriving on an international flight in the ECONOMY class cabin, please contact us by email for special arrangements to be made"

...I assume you've spoken to them, is there an additional surcharge to the $99 for economy passengers?
