No more A380 to Frankfurt
 

Got notification that A380 bound for Frankfurt in April has changed to 777... and some evening flight ex Frankfurt in May has changed to A350.
Wondering why! and No more 1st class to major hub like Frankfurt ! Real surprise.
Anyone ??

they fly only during high Season with A380 to Frankfurt; during European Summer months they change to 777; was already last year the case.
Guess it will be back from Nov

It does seem an odd choice considering that FRA is the largest *A hub in Europe. Does CDG really generate more traffic to BKK?

Where does the spare couple of A380's get used then during this period? Surely they don't just sit idle in BKK?

Looks like they have two on BKK-NRT beginning Mar. 29.

hi, I am booked on TG920 on 23rd of April in First class. Despite the given information there should be no A380 service. Checking CheckMyTrip A380 still confirmed. Now I am confused what to believe. Manage my booking on TG shows A380 too.

It will be A380 until it changes..... I note that CheckMyTrip still shows one of my BKK-SIN flights as 744 but it changed a few weeks to 359 - so I wouldn't rely on that for the aircraft type. I note ExpertFlyer shows A380 at present.

And I got notice of time change FRA-BKK (2040 Dep now) AND that it's via Phuket...

the second flight from FRA goes via Phuket for some time, nothing new!
and when Europe change to summertime/wintertime, most flights to/from Asia change time as well

go to manage booking and see what your itinerary aircraft says..thats the final word (until you get TGd!)

Interestingly enough, the A380 shows up FRA-BKK on MAR 31 & APR 1. Am I about to get TG-ed?
