1:25 hours connection in Bangkok (BKK). Is it enough?
Hi guys!
I will probably fly from Milan to Perth via Bangkok in February.
I found a Thai Airways flight with 1:25 connecting time. According to your experience, is it enough time to take the next plane once landed in Bangkok?
As there is just one flight from Bangkok to Perth each day, I would not like to lose it.
Thanks!
Nik

Hi, should be no problem since you will not have to clear customs and immigration. Minimum connecting time is 70 minutes. Just make sure that you and your luggage are checked trough to Perth and proceed directly to your connecting gate after arrival.

Yes, the flights would be on a single TG ticket. Are transfer at Bangkok normally fast? The flight would arrive at 5:55 am from Milan. Is that a very busy time at the airport?
However, is the Thai A350 a good aircraft? I flew on the Qatar one and was amazing!

tg941 MXP BKK usually arrives early (like so many flights from Europe) as this flight has a scheduled time of 10hr 50 and normal flight time is below 10 hours, so it gives you more time
yes early morning is a busy time for Arrival and Transit
if you have a significant delay, you will be escorted to your Perth flight bypassing security
A350 is a brand new plane with very good seats, full fat in J

1:25 is a very doable connection in BKK.
Even if your inbound is 30 min late you should be able to make it.
Depending on where your flight arrives and departs it could be a fairly long walk between the gates. But everything is inside one building, no trains or transfers between terminals etc.

Of course, unless you are TGd to a bus gate on the arrival and spend eons getting to the terminal...

The bus does usually drop you in the middle of concourse D, so in my experience the actual 'time' isn't much more than walking through the terminal - depending a bit on which gate your airbridge is at.

You are right about where you are dropped off, but last time I flew MEL-BKK, we spent 25(!) minutes taxiing to a bus position and then the ride by bus was another 15 (!). Not kidding, seemed like we went around the whole airport twice

If its late, there will be a buggy or transfer bus waiting for you as u deplane and will be escorted to the next flight. Have had this PER-BKK-FRA. My PER-BKK leg was delayed by 45mins. They held the FRA flight for a good 25 mins after gate closed as there were about 12 of us transiting. Doors closed about 15 mins after schdueled take off time.
