TG reducing award seats?
Has anyone noticed recently (past month or 2) that TG has been reducing the amount of award inventory?

Played with some flights via United/Lifemiles/SQ Partner.

could this be in connection with high season in Thailand? usually no awards available during Christmas/new year and less from Nov - April

no - cant confirm this
its probably "demand"-driven (high season)
depends very much on the route and the travel days..
any details available?

December to February is peak season for Australian travel and SEAsia is a very popular destination. If there's not much award availability on TG at that time, I'm not surprised.

I reckon it's pretty damn good still. I just changed a 24th Dec MEL-BKK to a 23rd MEL-BKK business class redemption and seats were available on both flights! Only 10 days out! Try that on Qantas!

Oh and also the fuel surcharge has now disappeared! I knew this had happened for BKK originating flights but didn't know it had flowed through to other originating destinations.
