I've just looked at LHR-SYD for November this year and while BKK-SYD still shows a 747 as operating F is no longer for sale so presumably it will be the A350 by then. I'll hold off booking though because if it should be C on the 747 there are much better choices on the route for the money.

I just tried a BKK-SYD booking for late November and F is for sale.

uugghh. That's tough, especially since even of you find the 1st class cabin again, now it'll cost 65k per ticket. Hope you can get it rescheduled. Use those miles as soon as you can, I'm sure in a year it'll be up to 76k!! Gotta love devaluation.

I presume there’s no F for LHR-SYD because LHR-BKK doesn’t have F (probably a 777).

why should LHR BKK not have F? most of the year they have one of the two daily flights on the A380 with a break during low season

LHR-BKK is operated by the A380 so F is available.

My bad phrasing. I wanted to explain why in some cases you can have a 747 with F in BKK-SYD but cannot buy an F ticket all the way from LHR.
I didn’t mean to say that 777 is the only option from LHR. I saw that in Nov there was an option for A380 but didn’t want to repeat what @Taoyuan has already said.

Another A350 Delivered

HS-THL was delivered to TG yesterday. 2 More A350 to go: HS-THM & HS-THN.
Let's see what impact it has on routes and F.

thanks for your hard work, flyerby!
so one destination in Australia (MEL)
3 in Japan (NRT, HND, KIX)
3 in Europe, 2 in Italy for quite a while already (FCO, MXP) and new BRU
rest (2 domestic CNX, HKT) and SIN is to fill up between long hauls

thought I have seen them as well on the 2. daily flights (beside the A380) to FRA and LHR...
