Hello everyone,
i’ve not used Thai before but a quick question.
I believe the minimum connecting time is 55m for BKK? But in reality is a 1 hour 30 connection achievable? 1 hour 30 isn’t ideal but may be best to maximise my time.
it will be an international to international connection SIN to HKG via BKK with checked baggage.
thanks

no problem if luggage checked through and stay airsideshould first flight have a heavy delay, ask FA to assist. They can organize an escort, who bring you faster through transit

I have two questions on a partner award ticket issued by UA:
1. When I booked via UA, my name was automatically entered. The last name is correct, however there is no middle name and Mr. is added to my first name. Do I need to correct this with TG to match my passport exactly? Should I edit that online using “manage my booking” or just wait until check in to have the agent do it?
2. I know that stadby paid upgrades are officially no longer allowed on partner awards. Unofficially, will the ticket counter at BKK ever allow this if space is available?

Looking at flying on an Aeroplan ticket including J between BKK and PER. Currently showing 2 seats available. We need 3.
If I grab two J and one Y, what's the likelihood of another J opening up closer to the date (December 2018).
Thanks!

December tends to be the high season for Aust/NZ folks travelling to Thailand, so my own opinion is that it will be unlikely that more seats will open up, but who knows?!. YMMV.

I would not expect to get 3 award tickets in J or F on the same flight! Even getting the awards directly from TG with miles on TG and with my Platinum Status.
usually in such cases i mix paid/award tickets
so I guess you need extreme luck to get this and you should not expect anybody to help you for this

I have a Thai Smile/Thai luggage question. I sent an email to both Thai and Thai Smile with no response. I have an award ticket booked on Asiana from ICN-JFK. I will be in Siem Reap (REP) and have to find a way to get to ICN. One option is Thai Smile to BKK and the either Thai or Asiana to ICN. If I book this on Thai Smile and connect to Thai will bags go straight thru to ICN? I have lots of time to recheck at ICN. If I book Thai Smile to Asiana will bags go straight thru to ICN?
Hope this question isn't to confusing?I am trying to avoid immigration and customs and rechecking at BKK with a tight connection.
Thanks in advance.

TG sells tickets on their website REP-BKK-ICN. REP-BKK is codeshare by WE.
For the dates I looked, there weren’t any short transit. Only 8 hours or more.
You can technically send, on a TG ticket, your luggage directly to JFK if you are persistent and the REP station manager is knowledgeable enough.

If you do so, you’ll need to verify at the transit counter in ICN and at the gate that the luggage has arrived.
