TG472 SYD-BKK diverted to Darwin
TG472 SYD-BKK diverted to DRW this evening, awoken by earache as we descended from 36000ft to landing in just over 10 minutes - looked at the flight map and we were going in the wrong direction! The police unloaded a guy and two kids and we were on our way again arriving at 0015 just over two hours late.

I wish all airlines would do this when the little angles turn into devils in the sky.
:D |
They weren't misbehaving at all. We were in F and they were towards the front of J. We saw the police get on and ask the guy to go with them. There was some discussion as he didn't want to take his hand luggage with them, but they took that out and off they went.

How do you know what they were doing before the decision to divert since you said you were asleep?
But I don't really know....just supposition. |
Perhaps it was some sort of custody issue where the male didn't have permission to take the kids overseas and the police/customs requested the diversion.

Does anyone know why the flight was diverted?
Cheers, AG. :-: |
