TG F vs TG C

I need to fly FRA-BKK-SIN, and have the option of TG F for FRA-BKK, but it will cost me another 40k in miles (not ROP miles) one-way, over TG C.

The TG F and TG C for FRA-BKK will be in A380.

Is it worth extra 40k miles for TG F over TG C in A380 for one-way between FRA-BKK?

Just came back from RT in F on a380

Spend the miles. It's fantastic. I walked back to J and it looked positively crowded and small. Also, the massages at the Royal Orchid Spa, comp for F guests are great.

They have the best inflight entertainment also. I was very impressed with everything.

Do F you wine be sorry.

Thanks for the response!

I am surprised by the strong support for TG F over TG C, even with the 40k extra miles. (Given that A380 for C is also full flat bed, I was expecting a close call.)

I also just realised I may have the option of SQ F from FRA-SIN, and I get 10k miles savings over TG F, except that it is SQ F in 777.
(if it is A380 SQ F in Suites class, then I will choose SQ F Suites class.)

Since this is the return leg, there is no SQ lounge in the private room to use.

Would TG F (A380) + TG C in FRA-BKK-SIN, be better than SQ F in 777 FRA-SIN?
[Also, if my outgoing flight is in TG C, will I be still able to ask for massage spa in BKK, that is typically available for departures in TG F only?)

Take SQ F! No 1hr massage for arriving F passengers usually, normally only 30 minutes, but will have access to the F lounge connecting to J.

I guess this is a bit confusing information!
SQ F would fly from FRA to SIN directly and not through BKK!
TG Spa/massage in BKK is only for TG passenger and only departing F passenger can get the 1 hour, but not arriving

If you have the option of SQ F direct flight, I think it is a no-brainer to choose it.

I think the contrary. For me, TG F (A380) trumps SQ F (77W) anytime.

I liked F on the leased TG 77Ws. High class problem.

For me it is like this (in descending order):

SQ Suites
TG F (on a good day)
SQ F
TG F (on other days)
SQ J
TG J

Of course it depends on aircraft type and seating configuration, too. Also, I will almost always choose direct flights over connections, regardless of seating configuration.

Generally speaking F on any airline is better than J on any airline, with few exceptions.

Thanks for all your inputs!

I have taken SQ F in Suites A380, and 77W, and also SQ J in A380.

SQ F Suites in A380 is really impressive, but for 77W, I thought it was ok only, though still better than SQ J in A380.

I have no idea about TG F & TG J in A380.

I take the general consensus that even with 40K extra one way, TG F is still better than TG J in A380, but I cannot be too sure between SQ F 77W vs TG F in A380. I will definitely choose SQ F in A380 if its available, but the current toss up is between SQ F 77W vs TG A380. There is a connection between BKK-SIN in TG J and also lack of 1-hr massage (only 30 mins since dep is in TG J), may just tip me in favour of SQ F 77W, but can I check if generally TG F A380 is still stronger than SQ F 77W, or they are on par?

carrotjuice - can you give a bit more info on y TG F A380 trumps SQ F 77W?

Thanks again!

If I may ask, which FFP are you using for this redemption? Also, what is the cost (in miles) of redeeming for SQ Suites?

IMHO, if your final destination is Singapore, it makes little sense to consider connecting in BKK if you have the option of flying SQ.
