TG682 BKK->HND Aircraft

Hi TG'ers,

Airgroove and my significant other are flying SYD->HND in C mid-July and I have just noticed that TG682 has changed to A330 for the entire month of June...

Does anyone have insight if this is only a swap for the month of June for TG682; or may also extend to July? Currently, the schedule shows a 747 APS aircraft for July and we are booked up in the bubble and hope it stays that way?!

Any insight much appreciated.

Cheers,

AG. :-:

Don't know. I fly 682 a lot. A permanent change to a 330 would be a major bummer. I was hoping TG would eventually switch from the old to the refurbed 747s on this route. I would never do BKK<>TYO on a 330.

Might have something to do with the delayed introduction of the 787 on BKK<>HND. I think TG plans to eventually replace all 330 with 787s.

Thanks 5khours

If they are switching to the A330 - one would hope it is the new cabin... Sending the old A330 bird to TYO would be a bad choice given the lucrative Japan market. If the A330 is still flying in July - we will be well naffed-off to find the older A330 cabin for the o/night flight!

When you consider that NH sends their 787's with their terrible terrible regional business class seats all the way down to CGK and when you compare with Garuda's awesome product on their 77W, nothing would surprise me anymore :/

I just hope this change is not long term! Does anyone know...?

We want to be drinking bubbles, up in the bubble! Love the 747 iron bird - my ultimate aircraft.

Anyone know if the 747's currently on this route have the most updated cabin?

looks like they are cutting capacity HNT/NRT-BKK and return. The political unrest along with TG mismanagement is killing the company

They decrease the NRT services but increase the HND services. So, the overall BKK-Tokyo services is the same.

I dont see the HND increases. I see a downgauge from 747->a330 on that route. And NRT used to be 2x daily A380 + A330

So HND used to be a daily 777 (then 747) > now: 747 2x per day

NRT used to be daily 380, 747, and 340 > now: daily 380, 747 5x/wk, 330 4x/wk.

So a very slight increase, but with the political/economic situation in Thailand would not surprise me if there were further changes.

[QUOTE=5khours;22953446]So HND used to be a daily 777 (then 747) > now: 747 2x per day

Just got bumped from F to J BKK to HND on July 5 due to more F on this route. There seams to be 1 a330 and 1 777 flight per day replacing the 2 747s.

Have asked to be put into F on one the NRT flight with F instead.
