Just booked FC on Thai (HKG-BKK)

Hey forum!!! My first forum post, so here I come.

We have flown TG a few times between Hong Kong and Bangkok, one time in Economy class, the other times in Business Class.

Just booked First Class for our trip in May, returning in June (booked on their website). We did not choose any special meals, i.e., variety is the spice of life!

Really just want to know what they do for the First Class passenger, on the departure, as well as arrival. Don't necessarily need a ride from town out to the airport, but is that available? What about on arrival in Bangkok? I am almost certain I have seen some special golf cart transporting some FC passengers to immigration. What about transport into Bangkok after clearing customs and immigration?

By the way, noticed that the A380 was not on the schedule for this city pair, on our dates of travel. Real shame, as that was easily the best experience (in Business class) so far on Thai.

See ya

Arriving in BKK - golf cart from gate to immigration, driver will stay with you till you past immigration via the VIP/diplomat lane. Collect baggage with you and escort you thru customs and into a taxi.

Thats what i got arriving from CDG on TG F

You will get what kkl states above and access to TG fist class lounge and spa in BKK on departure, with complimentary 1 hour massages. Buggy transport on arrival in both BKK and HKG, and on departure in BKK.

TG does not offer any ground transportation (they did years ago, but not anymore).

Onbard you will not get caviar service, but everything else is up to normal TG F standards.

Enjoy your flights

For your BKK departure, be sure to utilize the Royal First check-in, at the far left as you face the terminal. If you've never visited the F lounge, I would leave at least two hours for that so that you can take advantage of the spa service.

pick up at gate, buggy drive to immigration (instead of taking the train)
F check in desk and F lounge (separated area for F with service)
no fast track immigration and security

In HKG, I use the United Lounge - it's way better IMO... French Champers and I have often had the lounge to myself!

Cheers,

CX doesn't have specialized ground service for departing F in Hong Kong, so I wouldn't expect Porsche rides and separate terminals for TG either.

Was hoping for a buggy and/or a personal assistant like in BKK. I remember reading that they give you a voucher to ride the buggy or did I remember wrong?

CX really needs to improve on that. Love the service in BKK and FRA.

So now the OP will appreciate that TG First on this route is not worth the difference.

HKG for both Arrival and departure Immigration is often awful

The 747 Upper deck on this route to more than adequate for the length of flight
