TG600 BKK-HKG (A380 aircraft) was severe turbulance. 20 passengers and 10 crews were injured.

See picture of damaged ceiling.

looks really concerning.

This aircraft (A380) made a ferry flight to bangkok for checking the damage and repairs it.

I think some of NRT/FRA/CDG filghts may have effect aka aircraft change from this incident.

P.S. The number of injurers was changed to 30 passengers and 15 crew (from a total of 24 crew onboard)

Below are news links in English.

This type of severe turbulence happens. It's rare but it happens. I think a UA FA was killed about 15 years ago in severe turbulence. Hope nobody was badly hurt in this incident.

Good idea to keep seat belt on at all time even if the light is off.

So glad to hear you're okay. What do you think was more likely to injure people -- hitting the ceiling going up, or landing hard coming down?

Glad that they fixed the aircraft soon enough.

Was in HKG Airport yesterday and wondered why the A380 left in direction to BKK with 5 hours delay...

I think a lot of people got hurt because when they landed they didn't land in their seat. So if they hit anything hard then it would be really painful (that's why a lot of the fa's standing got injured). I'm pretty sure I bonked my head against the overhead bin but I think I am okay atm so it wasn't too bad. I think the other injuries came from falling objects such as galley carts, etc.

No it was not. It was HS-TUC flying TG930 to CDG and going back today as TG931. HS-TUA I think still in HKG.

No definitely not. The A380 involved in the incident left Hongkong around 1800. I was in the lounge in HKG waiting for my flight.
