MR suggestions?
 

I checked my 2011 EQMs and I'm about 5.5k short of retaining TG*G, as I've been flying doing AU domestic rather than international on *A as I have previous years. I'm already planning to do MEL-BKK-MUC (so GUP will come in handy) as well as a TPAC or 2 in 2012. I'm considering a MR to retain my gold.

I'm based out of MEL, but travel regularly to SYD. What are the best value MR options on *A ex MEL or SYD? I'm looking at doing it in WHY.

AU <> NZ leaves me ~2k short and doing it twice doesn't appeal. What are my other options? I'm planning on flying out end of Nov/early Dec and back a few days later - depending on work commitments.

MEL/SIN/MEL on SQ is probably your best option... SQ often have great fares out (check mileage accrual) and they're as good as anyone in econ.

Just a quick update on this one. I was all set to book a MR MEL-SIN-HKG on SQ as it was cheaper than just MEL-SIN and the extra legs earned more miles. I was waiting on an invoice to get paid so I could book it. The same day the payment arrived so too did a TG *G kit. I'm *G for another 2 years! I don't know how this happened and I'm not going to complain :)
