Can I buy extra baggage allowance?

Hello guys, my first time on this forum. I'm on BA to BKK then I have booked a flexible plus ticket on to HKT. TG booking engine only allowed me to buy economy. My standard baggage allowance is 20kg but I will certainly have more than one bag! Am I able to pay in advance for another bag? or should I do this at BKK? TG website seems to make to reference to this. Am happy to cancel this ticket and rebook if there is a better way to deal with the baggage issue...:p

Easiest way is to buy a biz ticket BKK-HKT. Surprised that there was no biz option, or did you not try? Biz is usually only THB1200 more than economy and gives 30kg.

Post your BKK-HKT (or PM me) flight details and I can check on EF if you want. On Thai Air Asia (www.airasia.com) , which is a LCC, you can buy baggage. You can also try www.NokAir.com - owned by THAI (mainly). NokPLus is a biz-like deal with extra baggage.

Cheers, TK

Thanks. It was strange when I used the TG booking engine and asked it to show all classes (it offered business and economy) but it only came up with economy flights. I assumed they must not be selling business class for this short flight. I have been back into TG bookings and I see that I can book business for not much more so I can have the extra weight allowance. I can upgrade my ticket for just the extra fare, or cancel for a small fee and just rebook in royal silk class. I will ring Thai reservations when they open tomorrow morning. Also, I believe I can interline my bags HKT-BKK on TG then to LHR on BA, but not the other way round?

I didn't make any assumptions that the OP was in transit at BKK, but I agree that the DD option should have made it clear it was DMK :o - thanks folks!
