I have a booking in C and sure enough my meal selection appears as "vegetarian Hindu." This is horrifying for me as an avid non-vegetarian.

I don't remember if I touched my seat assignment after choosing the meal, although I don't actually think I did. Anyway, I experimented by changing my meal back to "no special meal," then changing my seat, hoping this would "reset" the system. Then I chose the meal again. Didn't work. It's back on "vegetarian Hindu" again.

I'm thinking of calling to resolve the problem, but their reps aren't exactly confidence-inspiring.

It seems sometimes you get the meal you ordered even with the "veg Hindu" selected. Is there any rhyme or reason to when you get what you ordered and when you don't?
I noticed that every time you change something in your preferences the meal order will change to Hinu Veg as a default. Maybe they are trying to depose of a big stock of Hindu Veg

I did... But it wasn't the lobsters fault. On my last flight it was burned (really black) and overcoocked as well, really bad.

What would you pre-order if not the lobster (while at times I enjoy it, I don't see the need to eat what was once considered prisoner food and the trash of the sea in a premium cabin of an airplane) and not a Thai dish (figure enough Thai food while in CNX/BKK don't need to spoil it on a plane)?

Has anyone had the scallops?

I've ordered the lobster a number of times and it has always been delicious... And if it's not, order something onboard - that won't be a problem. ^

Cheers,

if you prefer current meal over remaining alternatives a lot, only a call or e-mail to TG will bring clarification

First Class pre-ordered meal

Chose one from the new. I flew TG F three times since the new menu ex BKK and always to tried to get something from the old menu. Each and every time they even put me on hold to call someone at the kitchen/catering, the answer always has been please select from the new menu...

I keep getting Server Error page when I try to access the pre-order screen.

I went from the In Flight service area and under the First and Business Class Meal Service or something like that.

Other than the aforementioned place, where I can access this function online?

Thanks.

I cleared out all the TG cookies and used the link found a few pages back. It worked.

so i'm flying F out of CDG next month and I'm considering pre-ordering my meal. I'm leaning towards picking GRILLED FILLET OF BEEF ROSSINI, LAMB SALTIMBOCCA, or one of tthe Thai Curries. what do you guys recommend?

the beef Rossini is a hit and miss depending on catering service of the destination you fly from and the crew
please note that the foie gras/goose liver is not a pan fried fresh one but a pate
once it was forgotten totally and once it was served only after I asked for (nearly frozen)
the most miserable beef quality I had out of Sydney

the lamb saltimbocca is a very strange dish; the original saltimbocca is with veal, smoked ham and sage and no sauce! this fits perfectly together.
the TG dish is lamb, smoked ham and a black pepper corn sauce which really does not fit together

the thai curries are good but of course a bit too mild in comparison with the ones you get in Thailand's non tourist focused restaurants

I ordered the lobster on MUC-BKK F and it was just average. Didn't taste fresh. The prawn with rice on my next C flight was much better (also preordered).

In any case, they serve so much food and drinks on F flights, and indeed even before then at the lounge, that I was overstuffed before I even got to the main dish! Somehow I still managed to have fruit and desserts afterwards
