Just flew HKG-BKK-SYD. Had a preorder steak (forget what its called) from HKG-BKK and it was quite good. Then had the chicken green curry to SYD and it was awful. All dark meat chicken and it was tough as a boot. They had beef green curry on the menu and it was also tough and off the chart spicy. And I love spicy

I originally requested lobster on BKK-LHR leg, but having read some reviews, I probably should change. I wonder if anyone tried Thai food options.

If you want to know what orstrich steak look like, follow this link: http://www.kinaishoku.com/archives/002163.html

It's a Japanese airline meal site but you can get a basic idea!

Thanks, mmm...I'm on the morning flight and the ostrich looks a bit heavy for 9am. I think I'll just go with what is on board. Thanks!

Are you serious? When I tasted it some months ago it was a thin, watery and tasteless soup. Any instant soup would have been better.. Hope it improved like you said.

Has anyone tried Fish Chu-Chee? According to their website, it is a "traditional Thai dish of red snapper with chilli paste, coconut milk, fish sauce and kaffir lime leaves."

It does sound quite nice and I wonder if this is better than steak or lobster.

I am serious and its not intended as a joke. It was really, really good (that's one soup I feel qualified to pass an opinion on since I probably have it every week or two!)

Is there even an ostrich farm in Thailand...?

I'd just go with whatever you think is locally harvested over what might be frozen prior to cooking...!
