Thanks - but I was not even getting to the page to enter the flight details. At least it seems to be working OK now.

I have both a pre-amadeus and an amadeus award booking on Thai. If I enter the ticket number in the pre-order page http://www.thaiair.com/TSCP_WR_PREM/view-trip.jsp I can see the amadeus PNR. So if you only have a ticket number, this way you can find out your PNR.

for pre-order of meal online, you can either key in reservation number or ticket number; both bring you on a page with your flight data, where you can enter the menu of your choice
menu depend on whether you fly out of BKK or another destination

If you order one of the meal sets, do you still get the caviar service, salad, and dessert from the regular FC menu or do they only load the set menu you requested?

Half of the set menus on the website are the exact same (A-F)...but it's nice to see that there are some options that can be ordered ex-Europe even if they are not as expansive as the ex-BKK choices.

Many of the dishes are the same - but there will be one dish that differs - normally the 'main'... Caviar should not be a problem (although, I have never ordered the set). I'm a lobster lover, so that is my choice... I have also had the Chinese duck and it was yummo!

Cheers,

yes caviar is still served and if you should happen to mention how nice the king prawn entree sounds off the general menu dont be surprised if you get that also..! I personally mix it up a bit whist on board. I like the thai set menu but cant stand the dessert so usually sub that for what is on the standard menu.

Yes - have often 'over-eaten' onboard! The JW Blue helps with digestion after a long meal! ^

Ordering web page down again

It has been unavailable for at least 3 days. Just spoke with Customer Relations in London and they say they have lots of problems with the ordering site and that "it has been reported". If you call reservations they can take your order over the phone.

Anyone have any opinion on the Japanese meal set for NRT-BKK ? It seemed like I can't get any pics of those Japanese meal sets on their pre-order menus and din't see anyone comment on the pre-order Japanese meal neiher.

-Japanese Meal Salmon Koumi Yaki /Shiitake Mushroom/Flower Carrot / Burdock Served With Tawara Rice In Japanese Meal Box (Washoku Shokado)
-Japanese Meal Chicken W.Yuzu Pepper Sauce / Burdock/Broccoli Floret/Flower Carrot /Salmon Rice W.White Sesame In Japanese Meal Box (Washoku Shokado)
-Japanese Meal Beef Sukiyaki With Soya Taste Sauce Served With Steamed Rice And Japanese First Course In Japanese Meal Box (Washoku Shokado)
-Japanese Meal Eel Kabayaki Style /Shishito Pepper/Kabayaki Sauce/Steamed Rice In Japanese Meal Box (Washoku Shokado)

If the pre-order Japanese meal set are not any good, I think I will go with Lobster Therimidor despite many had bad expeprience.

I did not - but the menu was awesome onboard... ^ I would order your choice - sounds great!

As always, if you do not like it, the FA will bring you something from the menu, I've done it loads of times... Often had 2 meals! Oink!

Well the onboard menus was far from awesome, that's why I want to do pre-order this time to see if it is any better.

And seeing many people have mix comments about Lobster Therimdor, so I am trying to see if anyone had pre-order the Japanese meal to see if it is any good.

I had the lobster both out of BKK and LHR, the latter was so much better in terms of taste and texture.

I would not go for Japanese one as the F menu is exactly the same as the C menu. The only difference is you get an extra starters and soup (no cavier on this route though).
