Dallas - Stone Trail
 

Stone Trail, located in Addison on Midway Rd, is an often overlooked entry in the Dallas steakhouse scene.

Prime beef, perfectly cooked, served a la carte with side served family style. It doesn't have the reputation of a Del Frisco's or Ruth Chris, but IMO, the steaks are better. The New York Strip at Stone Trail is consistently exquisite.

The restaurant is divided into several small dining rooms, which gives it a very quiet, more subdued atmosphere than many other Dallas steakhouses. Private rooms are also available for even mid-sized groups. Service is very professional, though occasionally a bit leisurely. An excellent place to take a client or prospect. There's also a bar area with live music some nights - often jazz; some solo diners will eat at the bar.

Since it's less well known than Del Friscos or Bob's, you may also have an easier tiem getting a last minute/same day reservation.
