From the DFW Airport website:
"Our on-site rental car facility makes picking up or dropping off your car and getting where you’re going quick and easy. The Rental Car Center is located at 2424 E. 38th Street, DFW Airport, TX, near the south entrance of the Airport.
"Arriving Passengers: After collecting your baggage, follow the Rental Car signs to the designated pick-up area on the lower level of the terminal. From there, board the Rental Car shuttle bus. Buses run 24 hours a day, depart every 10-15 minutes and reach the Rental Car Center in approximately 10 minutes."
So, you would make your way to any of the airport's terminals (the Hyatt provides a free shuttle to and from the terminals), and then board the rental-car shuttle -- unless the Hyatt shuttle driver is willing to drive you to the rental-car center directly.

The Grand Hyatt is right in D, and much easier to access; you don't even need to go outside.
Of course much depends on which gate the OP is arriving into...as checked luggage (if any) will normally be delivered to an area near that gate. So if arriving at A or B with luggage, you'd want to get a shuttle.
If no luggage, you can use the airside train to go among the terminals.
