Welcome to the Texas forum

To all forum regulars and visitors--

Some of you may recognize me from the American Airlines forum here on Flyertalk. I've been a Flyertalk moderator since fall of 2009, beginning in the US Airways forum (which has since been folded into the American forum), added in Travel Safety & Security, and now have volunteered to help in the Texas forum. My goal is to organize the forum and create a welcoming community so visitors can glean information from our regulars.

Despite my username, I am located in the Austin, TX area. After living in Arizona for about 20 years, I moved to Texas in Dec 2015. Since I'm a still a new resident of Texas, you might actually see me ask questions, even here in the Texas forum. My day job is a back office/support role at a major US bank, doing a mix of work from home and an office, and of course on the road.

My first mission here is to organize some threads together and make the forum more user-friendly. I'll create some master threads for the major cities/attractions, and provide links to the airline/hotel forum threads that are appropriate.

This is a community--I can't do all of this alone.
Let me know if you have thoughts or interest in helping with this initial organization. You can always reach me by PM.

Thanks!

Tim
