DFW storms 9 May 2015 likely to cause flight disruptions

Tornado Watch issued for DFW area through this evening. Connecting via DFW, seek other routes. Disruption very likely later this afternoon and evening.

Crap. Does it extend into Monday morning? I have two different itineraries. Coming into DFW at 8am and leaving a few hours later for an international flight.

Tornado watches and thunderstorms are generally a few hours.

SPC just put 17k Sqmiles including the DFW metro area under an enhanced "significant severe" chance of severe weather, including tornados, some possibly strong, as well as very large hail.

This has been continuous for quite a while. The storms are expected to come and go for the next few days. In this case when one appears it tends to stay in an area for a while, rather than blow on by. The one over me right now, why I am out of bed, is doing this.

Tornado warning now just north of DFW.
