Restaurants near Sheraton Dallas North?
 

Any good moderately priced places near the hotel? I would really love to find good tex-mex but a search of the area and reading reviews seems to indicate that I'll be lucky to find anything worthwhile.

For tex-mex, Mi Cocina is pretty good. There's one location inside the Galleria, and another at Preston & Forest.

I also like Gloria's for "salva-mex": the menu has both Mexican and Salvadoran. There's a location at Beltline & the Tollway.

ETA: I haven't been there in several years, but I remember Tupinamba being quite good also. Inwood south of 635.

+1 for Mi Cocina. I lived in Dallas for 2 years and it is the place I miss most. They had a location in Houston for a couple of years but sadly it went out of business. I think they're opening a new location in The Woodlands this winter.

+1 on Tupinamba. Try the Tupy Tacos, either a meal of them or one of the combination dinners that contain one. Yum.

thai tannee on alpha probably the best thai in a city with lots of thai.

up on beltline i like addison cafe(very quiet)
blue mesa is also there and
catina lorado for rib eye with chimchurri sauce.(very noisy)
