What's going on with post count?
 

About a week ago I crossed the 10,000 post border. Since then I've noticed that, when I check FT in the morning, my post count is about 5 or 10 posts lower than the night before. What's happening? Is this from threads in which I post being moved to OMNI? That's the only thing I can figure.

IIRC, when threads are relocated to OMNI & /PR, posts in those threads don't count no more.

When threads get deleted, post count will drop as well.

Sounds like they delete your existence piece by piece while you sleep :rolleyes: ... still believe it'd be nice to know when something you've authored is modified/deleted for whatever (valid or otherwise) reason!!

-- BTW, I know at least in the UA forum, multiple posts by a single poster are combined regularly, so given the above, I'm sure that also will impact post count.

my post count appears to be stuck @ 1591. While I'm not posting like I used to, I still have some non-omni posts...whats the deal?

ETA: this post knocked me to 1592...but, as far as I'm aware, I've been at 1591 for a while now....strange

could it be what lin821 refers to a few posts back?

maybe, but i feel as though i've been stuck at this 159X for a LONG time (months?)

this could all be in my head though, and i haven't really been posting as much outside of omni due to a lack of travel...
