FT downtime notice links to forums not announcement
 
I suspect may be to do with my location in an advanced timezone. If someone else can see it, can they please post when the downtime is planned.

It's annoying to see the announcement top of each forum but I can't read it.

If so, I would think that's a bug in the system, rather than your being in an advanced timezone. With FTers worldwide in all possible timezones, I would think users' default timezone shouldn't affect their visibility of reading posts/threads or even announcement.

Is forum announcement a different kind of animal on FT?
