Korean Air ad on FT
 

I took a long look at the Korean Air ad on Flyertalk today and have to admit to being confused. It looks like the woman is holding something in her mouth, but what? Is she also supposed to be sleeping, thus the wraparounds?

None of us see the ads on FT. Could you post a link or a screen capture?

Funny, the ad appeared when I opened this thread. The woman seems to be biting into a watermelon.

Funny, I saw the ad all day, and now all I see are ads for 'Dokan' flights to Iraq. FT must be rotating their ads on a periodic basis. It could be a watermelon, but it looks flatter to me.

I got it on this page too - I think they pick ads based on page content. Looks like it's an envelope of some sort - maybe she's sealing a card with a kiss?

I can't be the only one that keeps seeing these "flash" animated ads on FT on the side of the screen here on FT, in particular the one from Korean Arlines:

From departure to arrival-showing a envelope being held in a pair of women's lips, then switching to the front outer view of a Korean Air 747 with the phrase "The world is my destination."

What in the hell are we looking at here? What's the significance?

I keep getting a dorky guy on a Union 76 ad. Maybe IB is using their applicant tracking software to power their web analytics

I am getting a flying elephant / Disney ad.

That must be some mighty fine acid you took in the 60's/70's/80's or 90's. :)

No...I see it too....gray woman....with only an upper lip??? Wearing blinders..... going down (what the heck??! :eek:)...plane appears at the window like a peeping tom or my dog when he wants to come in from the yard....

whew!.... flying elephants are back, thats much better

I'm sorry, I guess there's no logic to when or where that ad pops up. Right now it's showing here in the OMNI forum.

It looks like we can see the mouth of one of the Aliens from the Aliens movie about to devour a sleeping woman.

They appear to be similar to those perfume-ad-looking TV commercials for Korean Air that have been running in the US for the better part of a year now. I think there was a thread about the TV commercials a while back; my recollection was that people were mystified by those, as well.

FT has ads?
