Reducing picture size
 

If you go to http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/11966342-post42.html you will see a very large picture which I placed in it. I had no idea it would come out so large and it makes viewing it very difficult.

I placed it on geocities.com a few years ago, no longer have the password to access the page to make changes, and have no idea of how I can reduce the picture size.

Is there any way I (or you?) can shrink it on FlyerTalk so that someone who sees it does not have to scroll both left-right and up-down to see the entire shot?

Speaking for myself (and not representing FT in any 'official' capacity) this is something we (the volunteer moderators) inquired about recently. My understanding is that there is a current plug in that can be used with the site's software to reduce image size, but in evaluating it, the technical folks determined there were too many risks of degrading the site's performance if it were implemented, so that specific solution was declined. I don't think there's any other way of shrinking an image. I hope other solutions may present themselves. I personally like the addition of posting images, but we seem to be in agreement that sometimes large images can be problematic.

You need to download a copy of the original image to your PC and then upload it to an image sharing service (such as http://www.ImageShack.us/) with the desired [Resize Image] option.
