Mikel,
Any update?
I cannot even access Talkmail newsletters through the archives. The last issues that shows in the dropdown box is 22 April 2009.

The broken archives is a known issue and is on the "To Do" list.

Do either of you know, off the top of your head(s), if you have unsubscribed from any other list that Internet Brands owns? (I know, it's a long shot).

The issue of 11-18 landed in my AOL email box and I saw it today.
Isn't it kind of pathetic that IB can't send an email to the address I want it sent to? I mean, really--how difficult can it be to change a data field?
Oh well. I'm still doing better than Wharvey.

Tom,
DO NOT ask for the email address to be changed... or you might end up in my boat... I had asked because I was receiving two copies and going to an old address.... and now I get nothing!

Don't worry Wharvey, I paid attention to your posts and I specifically stated to Mikel that I didn't want that to happen to me.
Can you imagine the uproar on a particular bulletin board if some company, say United Airlines, wouldn't allow you to change your email address?
What if you changed jobs and American Airlines was only able to send your confirmation emails to your old work account? Do you think there might be a thread or two about the matter?
What if, when you changed email addresses, Continental Airlines just stopped sending email to either address? I'll bet there would be a slight amount of minor grumbling in a rather popular online community of people who fly often.
I've yet to find a single company I do business with that wasn't able to switch my email address from my old AOL to my new.
Except FlyerTalk.
What does that tell you about Internet Brands?

To be fair here, the TalkMail dropped e-mail address thingo....which I also experienced in the past....predates Internet Brands by several years.
IB is a convenient whipping boy for many recent ills but this one rests solely on some glitch in the FT database IMO.

Thank you Cholula.
Since one of the possible solutions involved asking Wharvey and myself if we had unsubscribed from any other list that Internet Brands owns, I was under the assumption that this was an IB issue.

Unless I am mistaken, IB owns Flyertalk... thus it is their problem.
As Tom said, seemed like there was a possible issue across the IB platform.
Regardless, I do think the current management has to take ownership of the issues... cannot say "not our issue since it occurred in the past".
If I could get the Talkmails in the archives, I would not even care about this... but even that is not available.

We are now well into the seventh month where The Powers That Be can't send an email to the address I want it sent to. The December 2 TalkMail landed in my AOL email again.
If you think about it, how pathetic is it that with today's technology a company can't correctly offer the tools that allow a customer to change their own email address?
