Usual Header at Flyertalk has changed
The usual FT header has changed. Just a plain blue background, and no "quick links" to OMNI, Community, Miles and Points, etc., appear.
Is this a permanent change? |
I just noticed that minutes ago. Thought it was a bug or something since the Google logo from their homepage had changed into colored bars on my computer screen as well.
All the forum jumps are part of the dropdown menu under "Forums" for now. Another "improvement" from IB? |
As you have noticed, the header has changed. The menu links are still there, but you probably need to clear your cache, as it sounds like your cache settings are interferring with the updated header.
|
You took the "My Flyertalk" bubble off the header?:( I used that all the time. Grrrrr.

I cleared my cache and the problem still exists. The headings are HOME, MEMBERS, EXTRAS, HELP. I have no listing for FORUMS but if I click on the arrow between HOME and MEMBERS, the various Forums show in a drop down box. Not too user friendly. |

It was not only functional, it aesthetically balanced the Flyertalk bubble on the other side of the page. |
Am I being overly cynical or is it possible that the individual forum shortcuts on the front page have been removed in order to generate more page hits and thus more [potential?] ad revenue? :o
Regardless of the reason it is a real PITA, a temporary one I hope. |
As a short term two click fix, Click on the FLYERTALK LOGO and then when the new page pops up, My Flyertalk is there.

ETA Hmm that trick isn't working for me anymore.... |
It's Back!
It seems the forum jumps headers are back.
Is that new "my flyertalk" orange bubble (to the right) new? I don't recall seeing it before the fix. |

All the forum jumps are part of the dropdown menu under "Forums" for now. Another "improvement" from IB? I had the same problem with Google colored bars yesterday. That situation is corrected today. I still can't get to Google finance directly, but that problem has been going on awhile. I have to go through the regular Google page and from there click, scroll, click to get to their finance page. Though at least Google is better overall than it was a few weeks ago, when it was in German, Spanish, French. . . . On FT, yesterday had the same FT problem that everyone else has mentioned. But today the FT home page with top-of-page link to Travel and Dining is back. |
